The leaves are falling, the nights are drawing in and the sun is definitely not around as much. But I for one, am not willing to let go of my 'sunkissed' glow.
I just wanted to show you these two beauties. Both I have loved, but for different reasons.


The Clarins Summer Bronzing Compact, from the Aquatic Treasures collection. Unlike the NYC bronzer, was limited edition. Some of the Clarins bronzers are really beautiful with their intricate designs on the surface.

I like this one in particular, as it contains 4 bronzer shades can be used on most skin shades. Or you can swirl your brush round to get a deep terracotta shade.





They are both on the large size, so not so great for travel. Most bronzers of this style are mahoosive. Can anyone explain why this is? baffled.. The NYC bronzer is amazing quality for the price and even the packaging isn't bad. For more moola, you get better packaging, but not necessarily a better formulation. It all comes down to personal preference. I always say, go and swatch your heart out till you've got no arm left and then decide what it is about makeup that floats your boat.


Anyone else not ready to embrace the full on pale yet? Maybe next month...

 The packaging is black, simple and quite nondescript. But I like that. Both the top half and bottom half have a matte finish, which makes it feel more sophisticated than your average drugstore lipstick. So far, I haven't noticed that it leaves makeup smudges on it, as you find with the Nars packaging, which can only be a bonus! The bullet itself has Gosh embossed into it and it's quite a way down so won't get worn away straight away. Overall the packaging is extremely nice in this product.

I originally wanted a pinky nude and eventually decided on the shade 002 Rose. After getting it home I realised it is pretty much a complete dupe for Rimmel 208, not so much a bonus for me as it is for you guys. The 'freebie' I chose was in the shade 004 Coral, which is as the name suggests a warm orangey shade.



 Both of these are from their matt range, but for me they are more of a satin (not matt or very shiny). Because of this, as with most matt lippies I have come across they do drag a bit on the lips but are very opaque with a nice pigmentation. They do stay on for quite a while, but then they become very dry and patchy. I haven't tried them on with a liner yet, but I can't imagine this would help with the dryness unless it's something with a bit of moisture.


I wouldn't be much of a trustworthy blogger if I didn't give you my honest opinion now would I? So, if your looking for a budget lipstick then I would give these a go. I can't say that I will be rushing out to purchase more of the matt ones. They are available from Superdrug here, priced at £6.99 each they aren't the cheapest on the market but may be worth it on a 3 for 2 if you are wanting to try out something different.

The colour itself reminds me of Half Baked from Urban Decay Naked palette. Its both shimmery and very pigmented, which is not something you find usually. But generally the Colourpop shadows are all pretty consistent, although there is slight fallout. I love to wear this all over the lid with a medium brown blended through the crease.




The Lippie Stix I ordered are: cookie, Lumiere, LBB, Frenchie, Bossy and I ♡ this. I have had these for about a month and a half now and I have worn them non stop. All are matte apart from BYOB, but this is not shiny at all and does set to more of a satin finish that a shine. I have been wearing a lip liner under them, as I found them to be a little dry after a while. For some reason, Frenchie seems to be especially dry and all of them do have a tendency to disappear in the centre of the lips. They are hard to reapply if your lips are wet. This could be due to that formula and longevity of them. These Lippie Stix are highly pigmented, so a steady hand is needed when applying.

Firstly, sorry about the bad swatches... I definitely need some more practice, but you get the gist. Overall, they are a lovely formula and have amazing staying power for something so inexpensive. As you may or may no know, Colourpop don't ship directly to the UK. So I used a 3rd party shipping company called mymallbox. They don't charge you anything if the don't have to repackage your stuff, only the cost of shipping. 

I am definitely a fan of nail polish. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I change it at least once a week. Either because I get bored of the colour, or because it only lasts 2 days (mostly the latter). I have yet to come across any brand that I prefer, until now that is!

Now, I was always a firm believer that a nail polish should do just two things. Be pretty, last longer than 24hours and not take a million hours to dry. Okay! I know thats 3, but doesn't everyone feel the same? Your there on your weekly nail routine, you've taken ages choosing the colour based on the forthcoming weeks events and also what mood your in. Black for bad bright pink for good and glitter for specials. You get the gist.
Your all finished, tucked up in bed and proud of yourself for making it all the way here without having smudged your nails. Then suddenly, there it is! Half of your newly applied polish. gone!! It's either disappeared completely, or is kind of hanging on for life on the side of your finger. Sometimes you can save it, but more often than not this is a lose lose situation.











I did a bit of a naughty a few weeks ago and treated myself to some bootiful polishes by the name of the the Blockbuster Pop Brights collection from Ciate. With these polishes you get 10 shades in total and although they are named the brights, I wouldn't necessarily call them all bright. They are all very beautiful yes, but would you call a dark blue a bright??

When they first arrived, I actually wasn't sure about them... But once I swatched them, I was sold! They appear a completely different colour on the nail compared to in the bottle.
